The Interior Space, is an interior design and procurement management firm based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia and working internationally.
Our commissions include luxury residential developments, hotels, resorts, leisure properties and their associated commercial interiors.
Involved from inception to completion we believe our international success comes from our holistic rather than one dimensional approach to our work, creating a bridge between our clients’ vision and the reality of bringing this to life.
The Interior Space provides a total service which includes establishing the brief, creating a design concept, development of the design ready for tender, detailing during construction and management of the project to completion. Our work specialty is resort, residential and high rise design. We take our clients' vision and make it a reality. We are choreographers of space!
The FF&E collections compliment the nature of the architecture, materials and landscape. All packages, inspired by contemporary Indonesia, include specific inventory, furniture layouts and will be bespoke designed to compliment each individual villa and its' signature luxury lifestyle. Owners are invited to first select their preference from the two inspirational interior schemes, light (lumière maison) or dark (beauté noire). Personalise your villa's interior further by selecting one of the four colourways - rust, natural, blue or green.
Each villa will be a masterpiece of casual island elegance, meticulously crafted for you.
Unique to The Interior Space is our firsthand knowledge of the management of resorts. The company directors have spent many combined years working as part of the executive management team in both high rise & boutique resorts. As a result we confidently bring this knowledge to our projects to ensure the perfect interior design solution. We understand what is needed and we know how to create a special design that will widely appeal to the target market.
With a qualified project manager as part of the group The Interior Space offers management on site during construction, we join with the construction team to ensure the speedy and proficient completion of all finishing details. Effective time management, attention to detail & following the project budget guidelines adeptly ensure our success.
Our experienced team has developed an appraisal reporting system specifically for resorts. We look at all front & back of house areas and prepare a guideline report of items we flag that need improvement or attention to make sure the resort offers the best appearance & performance to keep it competitive within the global tourism market. We work with both existing and new resorts internationally. We help our clients to turn our advice into a flourishing business.
Our specialised consultants are able to advise on all aspects relating to resort operations. The team can assess and develop operating procedures, train staff & guide resort management. Our team are able to assist in the areas of guest relations, food & beverage outlets (in room dining, restaurants & bars), event planning, housekeeping, engineering maintenance, landscaping, garden & swimming pool care, staff development. We work closely with boutique resorts internationally.

Our Hospitality Manufacture Arm
Our people are led by our companies overriding commitment to live their belief that excellence is standard to ensure the success of every project.
From the initial client consultation I detail a design brief which provides a summary of all aspects of the work to be covered during the project. The design style & preference for design direction and budget is also established.
Once a project is accepted the work begins with development of the concept. I prepare an image/mood board that depicts my understanding of the design approach, prepare sketches or 3D models as appropriate, floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, colour palette & sampling for clients to approve.
During this phase, with the design concept approved, the designer can begin to detail plans & specifications in preparation for the tender and construction process. Here I prepare very detailed specifications and drawings. During design development I work closely with the specialist consultants, such as architects, engineers, construction managers & landscape designers to ensure all parts of my design work correlates flawlessly with the entire project. In the case of commercial work it is common to also team with marketing groups to assist with preparation of the sales material.
This is the stage where I work on site with the construction managers to inspect work, respond to RFI enquiries and ensure the design is being correctly followed by the construction team. Here I also check trade construction drawings and inspect the manufacture of products in factories.
Allows me to provide a service to run the FF & E procurement on behalf of my clients - either private homes or large commer- cial fit outs, such as resorts & hotels. I design, source, cost & oversee the installation of all items to be included. I plan, co-ordinate and team with suppliers & staff to ensure every detail is perfect to completion. This work begins usually during construction and takes over on site once the building has been completed.

Made's inspiration and love for his work has been drawn from the many juxtaposed environments in his home country of Indonesia - the synergy of youth, the multiple colours of human beings and of course the colours that blend to form human civilization. Made believes his work is made easier by the fact he understands that each client has a different perception of form and space. So when working he takes these perceptions, the experience the client is hoping to achieve and enriching new concepts - to create the ultimate space. Kadek Sastaparamartha (Sasta)
Bachelor of Architecture
Sasta has been involved in Architectural design for many years which has seen him work on projects from China to Bali. Although he has been involved in many prestige residential and high end commercial projects his most noted project is as project co-ordinator on the landscape design of Park Hyatt Resort in Ningbo, China while working with the Bensley Design Studio. Sasta currently is focusing his career on the field of landscape architecture - and the unity that must be found between the two elements, Sasta envisions his work to be like the lyrics and melodies that are blended together to form a song. He constantly strives to create harmony between outer and inner space. By giving more attention to the blend rather than the individual elements - and of course by respecting things like nature and culture - Sasta is able to add value to every project he touches
